TMB® Proudly Featured Among Sustainable Business COP30

RSE is thrilled to be published within the Sustainable Business COP30 (SB COP), a global initiative led by the Brazil National Confederation of Industry (CNI). Our case study “Industrial Innovation- RSE-TMB®” was published under the Green Jobs and Skills theme.

SB COP has created a formal, structured channel for private sector engagement in climate policy, showcasing climate-action projects that can feed into COP negotiations and influence public policy.

Our low-carbon TMB® delivers essential water infrastructure while creating green jobs, developing skills, and enabling scalable, climate-resilient solutions. Providing a tangible example of private sector leadership aligned with SB COP30’s Green Jobs & Skills priorities.

Alternative to GRP
& Steel Storage

Built from sustainable UK grown and sourced timber, TMB®s offer a sustainable alternative to GRP (glass reinforced plastic) and steel enclosures.

The TMB® combines innovative engineering solutions and fabrication, with an emphasis on modular and offsite build methods to reduce lead times.

TMB Built to last

Built to Last

Fire Resistance Performance at an impressive 78 minutes ‘performance integrity’ to BS 476-20. The TMB® panels also meet and exceed the 30 and 60-minute tests for fire integrity, surpassing expectations and building regulations for fire resistance.

The TMB® confidently meets and exceeds the 25-year design life of traditional plastic kiosks, underlining its exceptional quality and performance.

Environmental Impact

This innovative approach using alternative and sustainable materials maximises the reduction in embodied carbon whilst maintaining high-quality standards

TMB® Key Features

TMB Modular Panels

Modular

Supports off-site modular build and modern methods of construction.

Precision cutting and assembly reducing material use and minimising waste.

Modular construction minimises on-site activity and reduces lead times.

TMB Sustainable Panels

Sustainable

Large CO2 reduction compared to traditional build methods.

Substitutes traditional build materials such as plastic with engineered timber.

Reduction in embodied CO2 exceeds 80% compared to traditional kiosks – TMB® exceeds net zero in some configurations if sequestered
carbon is offset.

TMB® provides excellent insulation with a U-value (W/m2K) always less than 1.1.

TMB Fire Resistant

Fire Resistant

Complies with fire safety legislation
and guidance.

Surpasses fire performance standards for similar steel framed and GRP structures.

TMB® panels exceed fire building regulations for 60-minute fire integrity tests and certified fire resistance performance of 78 minutes to BS 476-20.

Structural Longevity

TMB® longevity meets and exceeds industry standards.

Exceeds 25-year design life of traditional enclosures, with assurance built in.

TMB® Design Options

TMB® has a hybrid cross-laminated timber and glue-laminated timber core structure; with an embodied carbon of only 0.45kgCO2e/kg for the core. The TMB® combines innovative engineering solutions with fabrication, with an emphasis on modular and offsite build methods.

To develop and design the TMB®, carbon footprints have been assessed using Life Cycle Analyses in accordance with ISO14040:2006.

The TMB® enables even more reductions in embodied carbon in the associated civil & groundworks because it only requires a reinforced concrete plinth in exceptional circumstances.

FAQs

Is the TMB® security rated?

Yes, the TMB® is security rated to SR2 and SR3 as per the LPCB and are listed on the RedBook Live as C1747d and C1747e.

*Certificates available for download.

Is the timber traceable?

Yes, the timber is procured from sustainable UK sources and is C16+ structural core from Scots Pine, Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce and Larch.

*Timber can also be sourced from a carbon offset forestry.

Can the TMB® be supplied with chemical resistance?

Yes, for chemical dosing applications the bunding area can be supplied with a chemically resistant coating, that is resistant to the majority of water treatment chemicals for up to 25 years. This exceeds the chemical bund integrity requirements laid out on WIMES Specification 8.02, Section 6.1.5.2, Clause 5.

*Please consult RSE for individual chemical evaluation.

What are the standard lead times for the TMB®?

The standard lead time for a TMB® is 12-16 weeks following enclosure fabrication drawing approval.
