Modern Apprenticeships
We offer a variety of modern apprenticeships to kick-start your career in your chosen trade, with a particular focus on electrical and mechanical engineering.
RSE Modern Apprenticeships are aimed at people aged 16 and over. They’re a viable alternative to university, offering the chance to gain hands-on experience while earning a wage and studying towards a qualification. The specific qualifications required for entry vary by apprenticeship, although most require three or more National 4s.

Graduate Apprenticeships
RSE Graduate Apprenticeships are the most advanced band of Scottish apprenticeships, offering work-based learning and study up to master’s degree level.
Graduate apprenticeships are ideal if you’re looking to kick-start your career by gaining full-time industry experience while working towards your university degree.
To apply, you’ll need to be 16 or over and have the right to live and work in Scotland. Most graduate apprenticeships have entry requirements similar to those for undergraduate degrees, but we can take alternative learning paths into account.
We offer graduate apprenticeships in the following disciplines:
- Civil engineering
- Construction and the built environment
- Design and manufacture
- Instrumentation, measurement and control
