Chemical Dosing Systems for Water Treatment Applications
Dosing systems are a critical component of modern water and wastewater treatment processes, providing the controlled and accurate addition of chemicals to achieve specific treatment requirements. These systems are designed to store, measure, control, and inject chemicals into water streams to improve water quality, protect infrastructure, and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Our dosing systems are designed and built to ensure the correct quantity of chemical is delivered at the right time and in the right location within the treatment process. Under-dosing can result in poor treatment performance and non-compliance, while over-dosing can increase chemical costs, waste resources, and potentially create safety or environmental concerns. Effective dosing systems help operators maintain consistent water quality while optimising chemical consumption and operational efficiency.
In water treatment facilities, many processes rely on the precise addition of chemicals to function effectively. Dosing systems are used for a wide variety of applications, including disinfection, pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, dechlorination, phosphate removal, corrosion inhibition, and sludge treatment. Commonly dosed chemicals include sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, ferric chloride, aluminium sulphate, sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid, polymers, and anti-scalant agents.
A typical dosing system consists of chemical storage tanks, metering pumps, dosing lines, valves, instrumentation, and a control system. These components work together to provide precise chemical injection based on process requirements. Depending on the application, dosing rates may be controlled manually or automatically through signals from flow meters, pH probes, chlorine analysers, turbidity monitors, or other process instruments.
Dosing systems can be supplied as standalone installations or as fully integrated packaged solutions for rapid deployment. Our dosing systems undergo factory testing before delivery, ensuring reliable performance and reducing installation and commissioning time on site. Their modular design also allows for future expansion as treatment demands increase or process requirements change.
