A Range of Processes for Every Project
Successful water reuse requires high-quality equipment to meet regulator-mandated clean water standards. Our solutions meet the strict quality and drinking water standards that are needed to safeguard public health. Processes include:
- Coagulation and flocculation to remove impurities
- Sedimentation for settling particles
- Filtration to capture remaining contaminants
- Disinfection to kill bacteria or viruses
- pH adjustment
- Corrosion control measures
Treatment Trains for the
Highest Quality Water
Membrane technologies are becoming increasingly central to advanced treatment strategies. Membrane bioreactors (MBR), ultrafiltration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO) and advanced oxidation processes are being combined into multi-barrier treatment trains capable of producing exceptionally high-quality recycled water with high recovery rates for secure circular water use.
Increasingly, resilient water strategies combine this type of water reuse with desalination: the former for sustainable baseload supply and environmental protection, and the latter for drought resilience. The output can be fed directly into the public drinking water supply or used to recharge water resources such as aquifers or reservoirs.

Solutions Fit for Today’s World
The growing realisation about the huge pressure on global water supplies is putting a spotlight on water reuse. Many parts of the world, including the UK, are grappling with the need to reuse water for the first time due to shifting populations, ageing infrastructure and climate change. Environmental protection and net-zero targets are a core focus of Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) – the UK water industry’s regulatory investment cycle running from April 2025 to March 2030.
Water companies are under pressure to reduce storm overflow events, meet tighter nutrient limits for phosphorus and nitrogen, reduce PFAS (forever chemicals), and prepare for emerging contaminants. Everything must happen more quickly than traditional infrastructure delivery models currently provide. At the same time, the cost that can be passed onto consumers is under scrutiny. As data centres, which are massive water consumers, become more common, water reuse plans will likely receive much more attention from governments and regulators.
