Motor Control Centres (MCCs)

We design and manufacture Motor Control Centres (MCCs) that centralise power distribution and motor control. Whether you need a conventional setup or an intelligent system, we can build MCCs to your exact requirements — no matter the project size or complexity. And find out more about Starline, our modular MCC that comes with the shortest lead times in the market to help keep major UK water projects on track.

Starline®
Fast, Scalable ‘rack & stack’ MCC

By focusing on the most popular cabinet sizes, we’ve cut MCC package lead times to 14–16 weeks, almost half the market average of 24–28 weeks. This modular MCC, called Starline®, delivers high-quality, standardised panels at scale. Using automated tooling has allowed us to slash lead times and reduce costs, keeping critical-path projects on track across the water sector.

Even small changes, like using a single paint colour, have saved up to four weeks per project, equating to £60k savings on a typical £15m scheme. Scaled across an AMP, that’s £15–20 million saved in people costs alone.

Our approach includes:

  • An online configurator
  • Automated design and costing
  • Standardised steelwork production

Starline® MCCs are available from any RSE factory, which means faster ordering, lower costs and consistent quality.

Intelligent MCCs

Our intelligent MCCs have the same robust construction as conventional units, with three key upgrades:

  • Microprocessor-based control systems for advanced automation
  • Networked communication via Profibus, DeviceNet or Ethernet
  • Enhanced diagnostics and protection for smarter system monitoring

Like all our MCCs, intelligent units are built to BS EN 61439-2 standards, giving you peace of mind and future-ready functionality.

Our online configurator generates instant outline designs, making ordering easy and providing upfront costs. And since we have 5 manufacturing sites across the UK, we offer flexibility around production and can store units until they are needed.
