Scottish-headquartered engineering group RSE (Ross-shire Engineering) late last week completed the acquisition of Darlington companyĀ Sheers, a leading provider of modular chemical dosing and control systems for the water, chemical and UK energy sectors.
The deal will see RSE take up a majority equity share in the business whilst retaining the key skills of the Sheers team. RSE Managing Director, Allan Dallas, commented:
The UK Water Sector faces significant environmental challenges in the coming years. The removal of Phosphorous from wastewater is one such challenge and can be addressed by RSEās award winning modular treatment products. The engineering talent and manufacturing expertise in Sheers will enhance RSEās offering in this space and provide closer access to markets in Northern England.
