Howden Wells WTW in Selkirk, Scottish Borders is currently being upgraded by RSE, where we will replace the existing sodium hydroxide dosing system kiosk with a replacement, housed within our pioneering RSE-TMB™.
As part of RSE’s m-EcoBuilding™ range, the RSE-TMB™ brings modular, offsite construction to the forefront, with plug-and-play functionality, developed in collaboration with Ecosystems Technologies. Crafted from sustainable timber sourced from Scottish Water’s carbon offset forestry, it represents a forward-thinking alternative to carbon intensive materials like steel and GRP. This innovative design delivers a range of key benefits to our clients:
Smart, Modular Design:
- Built offsite for precision, cutting waste and reducing the environmental impact of on-site construction.
- Modular assembly ensures reduced lead times, faster installation, and minimal disruption to the site and surrounding areas.
Unrivalled CO2 Reduction:
- By swapping out traditional materials for engineered timber, the products embodied carbon is reduced by >80% compared to traditional kiosks – RSE-TMB™ exceeds net zero in some configurations if sequestered carbon is offset.
- RSE-TMB™ provides excellent insulation with a U-value (W/m2K) always less than 1.1.
Fire-Safe Resilient – Exceeds fire safety standards, boasting 78 minutes of certified fire resistance (BS 476-20) outperforming steel and GRP in fire integrity tests.
Built to Last – RSE-TMB™ exceeds the 25-year design life of traditional enclosures, with assurance built in.
