A Robust Catchpot System for Monitoring and Controlling Chemical Dosing
The m-POA is a catch pot system for managing and monitoring chemical dosing at its final point of application. Designed to be integrated into new or existing dosing systems, it:
- Is compatible with a wide range of chemical types, including acids, alkalis and coagulants
- Accommodates pipe diameters of 300 mm up to 1200 mm
- Supports single, dual or multiple dosing points within a single unit
- Meets WIMES 8.02 specifications for safety, reliability and performance
Engineered for Safety
The m-POA’s sealed enclosure reduces exposure to hazardous chemicals by allowing safe visual inspection of dosing points while containing any leaks or spills. A key design feature is the ability to withdraw dosing lances without exposing operators to chemicals, making routine maintenance significantly safer.
Standard safety and monitoring features include:
- Leak detection
- Loading valves and drain points
- Dedicated dosing compartments
Optional features — including flow switches, flow meters and automated inlet valves —provide additional process automation and performance verification
Built for Reliability and Ease of Use
The m-POA is constructed from chemically resistant polypropylene, with CNC-machined components and PVC-U infrared fusion-welded pipework. This improves joint integrity, reduces leak risk and minimises flushing times compared to conventionally jointed systems.
Each unit comes with a common user interface to simplify operator training, andstandardised spare parts eases maintenance across sites.
